Position the cursor over the Octagram layer's eye icon and drag
down the column to also toggle on the Background layer in one fluid
motion.

Click the Add A Layer Style icon at the bottom of the Layers panel
and select Gradient Overlay from the menu that pops up. Open the
gradient picker in the Layer Style dialog box and select the Orange,
Yellow, Orange gradient. Change the Style drop-down to Radial (see
Figure 9.7).

Click the words
Inner Glow
to toggle on this effect and switch to its
page within the Layer Style dialog box. Click the color swatch in the
Structure category, pick pure white, and click OK to close the color
picker. Select Precise from the Technique drop-down. Drag the Size
slider to 45 px (see Figure 9.8).

to toggle on this effect and switch to
its page. Click the color swatch in the Structure category, pick pure
white, and click OK to close the color picker. Drag the Size slider to
30 px (see Figure 9.9). Click OK.
