7. Press Cmd+J to duplicate the current layer. Double-click the new
layer name, type Reverse Spiral , and press Return. Choose Edit a
Tra nsform a Rotate 180°. Press V to select the Move tool and drag
your rotated spiral so it lines up with the original spiral (see Figure 8.9).
Toggle off the Brushstroke layer.

to cut a selection
and paste it as a new
layer.

8. Hold Shift and select both spiral layers. Press Cmd+G to create a
group folder and automatically put the selected layers into it. Double-
click the word Group in the Layers panel, type Spirals , and press
Return. Press V to select the Move tool and drag to center the spirals
on the canvas. Both spirals move because you are moving the group.
