8. Press Shift+W to select the Magic Wand tool. Set Tolerance to 50,
select Anti-alias, and deselect Contiguous on the options bar. Click a
dark area in the water image. The wand selects a range of dark areas
based upon the Tolerance setting.
9. Choose Select a Modify a Feather. Type 3 in the Feather Selection
dialog box and click OK. The feathered selection will now fade out in
a 3-pixel border.

10. Choose Image a Adjustments a Hue/Saturation. Select Colorize and
then drag Hue to 250, Saturation to 48, and Lightness to -14. Click
OK. Figure 7.23 shows the result. The water looks more like neu-
rons in the brain due to selection with the Magic Wand and a Hue/
Saturation adjustment.

You can now patch images with greater control using the Content-Aware
Patch, where you choose the area that Content-Aware will use to create
a patch to repair or replace a portion of the image. You can also use the
Content-Aware Move tool to move a selection to another area of the image
where it will blend the object seamlessly into the new location.
