Click the Create New Fill Or Adjustment Layer icon at the bottom
of the Layers panel and select Solid Color from the context menu.
Choose pure white in the color picker that appears and click OK.

Press Cmd+[ to move the Color Fill 1 layer down in the layer stack
(see Figure 7.14).
