Painting from history
You can use history not only to correct your mistakes but also to selectively
paint areas back to the way they were before. In addition, you can use history to
create an artistic treatment loosely based on a document's past state.

Understanding the history Panel
Wouldn't it be great if when you realized you made a mistake you could turn
back the clock a few minutes to the moment before it happened? This fantasy
is possible (at least in Photoshop) with the History panel. In the following steps
you will experiment with the History panel.
1.
Press Cmd+N to create a new document. In the New dialog box, select
Web from the Preset drop-down menu and 800 n 600 from the Size
drop-down. Click OK.
