You learned in Chapter 3, “Digital Imaging Fundamentals,” how to select color
using the Color Picker dialog box, the HUD hue strip, and color libraries. Those
methods are most suitable when you are interested in selecting a singular color,
but the color wheel you developed in the previous section is something a painter
would prefer because it shows the analogous and complementary relationships
between hues, plus their shades and tints. In the following steps you'll use color
wheels and the Color panel to learn more about color in conjunction with the
Eyedropper tool to sample multiple colors from existing images.
