Spreader bars or frames, if used, should be similarly treated, with load cases
as above. A consequence factor of 1.35 should be applied to lift points, and a
factor of 1.15 should be applied to members directly supporting the lift points,
as presented in Table 5.7 .
Stress levels should be within those permitted by the latest edition of a recog-
nized and applicable offshore structure code. The loads should be treated as a nor-
mal serviceability level functional load with associated load and resistance safety
