When there is no security defined, Ann can see all the employees in the organi-
zation and everybody's sales and salaries. The value of the ALL member is the sum of the
Sales and Salary measures for all employees.
Dimension security can also allow managers to see total values as a value aggregated only
from unrestricted children. With dimension security defined to support such a model,
Ann would see the report shown in Figure 36.3.

With cell security, however, you can allow all users to have access to all the names of
employees in the organization, but allow managers to see only the values of sales for their
