Drag and drop the OLE DB Source to define the source for your data flow.
7. In the Data Access Mode drop-down list, select Table or View. In the Name of the
Table or the View drop-down list, select the [dbo].[warehouse] table (see Figure
22.4). This table loads data into the Warehouse dimension.
8. Click OK to go back to the Toolbox from which you dragged the OLE DB source.
Drag the Dimension Processing data flow component (scroll down to find it) to the
data flow editor.
9. Click the OLE DB Source box. (Two arrows appear below it.) Click the green arrow,
move your mouse to the Dimension Processing box, and click again. The green arrow
elongates to connect the OLE DB Source to the Dimension Processing box to show that
the output of the OLE DB source flows into the Dimension Processing component.
10. Right-click the Dimension Processing box and select the Edit option from the
resulting menu.
11. In the Dimension Processing Destination editor, define the Analysis Services dimen-
sion into which the SSIS package is going to load data.
12. Create a new connection manager that points to an instance of the Analysis server.
Set the initial catalog to point to the FoodMart2005 sample database.
13. In the list below the Connection Manager box, select the Warehouse dimension (see
Figure 22.5).
14. Click the Mappings node in the left pane and map the input columns (OLE DB
Source table) to the destination columns ( Warehouse dimension attributes), as shown
in Figure 22.6.
