4. In the Enable Writeback - Warehouse dialog, choose the data source and name of the
writeback table Analysis Services should use to store delta values.
5. Choose the storage mode for the writeback partition as either ROLAP or MOLAP, and
then click OK.
6. When you process the affected measure group, Analysis Services connects to the
specified data source, creates the writeback table, and defines the partition that con-
tains writeback values.

To enable a writeback, right-click the Partition Organizer and choose Writeback
Settings.
In addition to the columns that contain the delta values of updated values and the identi-
fiers of updated members, the writeback table contains two columns, MS_AUDIT_TIME and
MS_AUDIT_USER , which enable you to audit any changes committed to the cube. You can
query the values of these columns and find out which user updated the cell values.
NOTE
Analysis Services doesn't allow you to create a writeback partition in a measure group
that contains at least one measure with an aggregate function other than SUM .
