In-Depth Information
Then I drove to Xichu, which is isolated in the Sierra Gorda Mountains. I didn't find the
end of the rainbow but I came close to the end of the earth. The last fifteen miles took me
over a dirt road, through one-way tunnels, and the three crosses at the side of the road over
looking the steep, one-mistake-and-it's-all-over chasm below, gave me no comfort.
After that adventure, I decided to keep it reasonable, so I enjoyed a hot springs, an
Olympic-sized pool (four laps nearly killed me at the high altitude), and got a Mexican tan
for my sunbathing effort.
