Sierra Gorda: Mining Towns and Pachuca
I woke up too early for breakfast and repeated my walk of last night in Zacualtipan. All was
quiet. The streets were vacant, and stalls in the plaza were closed, but I was in two worlds.
There was a world of supermarkets and farmers markets, modern and traditional. Signs ad-
vertised patented medicine, and herbs for making a tea for just about anything that ailed
