In-Depth Information
Figure B2
The initial project window.
The initial
SAS Enterprise Guide
screen, as seen in Figure B2, presents
the
Project Designer
. It is empty now but at various stages of your work it
will contain a data file, the specifications of the analysis, and the results of
the data analysis. The window shows a grid that looks like graph paper -
this is the background used by the
Process Flow
. Because there is nothing
in the project at this time, an empty
Process Flow
window is displayed.
You are now ready to enter your data.
B.4 ENTERING DATA DIRECTLY INTO
SAS ENTERPRISE GUIDE
There are several ways to inform
SAS Enterprise Guide
that a new set of
data is to be entered. Many of these are keyed to the various icons on
the toolbars that may or may not be visible in your current configuration
(you can pass the cursor over the icons to see what they represent). The
procedure that is always available to create a new data set, and the one
we recommend you use as a new user, is as follows: From the main menu
select
File
➜
Open
➜
Data
as shown in Figure B3. This selection brings
you to the initial
New Data
screen seen in Figure B4.
