In-Depth Information
This arrow button is now pointed
back toward the Variable List (the
only direction that the variable
beckdep can be moved).
These push buttons are
specific to the GLM
Univariate analysis.
These push buttons
are always available
in the SPSS statistical
procedures.
Figure A17
The main window for GLMUnivariate .
variable will move if the arrow is clicked. Right now they are facing away
from the Variable List panel and point to the panel to their immediate
right. To move a variable from the Variable List to a given panel, just
highlight the variable and click the arrow button next to it.
If a variable appears in one of the panels to the right of the window, as
it does in Figure A17, and you wish to move it back to the Variable List ,
just highlight the variable and click the arrow button. The arrow button
will always face in the direction of possible movement once you highlight
the variable you want to move. Note that in Figure A17 the arrow button
associated with the Dependent Variable panel is facing back toward the
variable list when the variable ( beckdep in the panel) is highlighted; that's
because going back to the Variable List is the only place to which that
variable can be moved.
A.13.3 THE PROCEDURE-SPECIFIC PUSHBUTTONS
All of the SPSS statistical procedure dialog windows contain pushbut-
tons. Some pushbuttons are specific to the procedure that you are using.
In Figure A17, the set of pushbuttons in the right portion of the win-
dow concern different aspects of the analysis that GLM Univariate can
perform and are therefore related to this particular statistical procedure.
