A.10.2 STEP 2
Step 2, shown in Figure A14.2, concerns the arrangement of the variables
in the text file. If they are set off by commas, spaces, tabs, or the like,
mark Delimited ; if the same variables are in exactly the same place for
every case (this is the easiest structure to type, especially if you do not use
delimiters), mark Fixedwidth . You should plan how you will enter the data
with these options in mind rather than have this query come as a surprise
to you at this second step . Then answer the question of whether there are
variable names at the top of the file; if you have typed only the data values
or if you have multiple lines of data for each case, then the answer is No .
