Add
changes the window to what we see in Figure 12.11. We can
now specify one or more additional plots following the procedure just
described. Clicking
Add
after specifying each will register it with SPSS.
We have taken you through this process in order to demonstrate what
you might do in the first stage of data analysis. If the three-way interaction
was not significant but one or more two-way interactions were, then we
would probably want to repeat the analysis asking for those plots. As it
turns out, the three-way interaction is significant but we opted to use a
bar graph plot rather than these line graphs.
12.7 SPSS OUTPUT FOR THE OMNIBUS ANALYSIS
Figure 12.12 shows two tables from the initial portion of the output.
The
Descriptive Statistics
table presents the observed means, standard
deviations, and sample sizes for each condition.
