GLM Repeated
Measures
.
Within each level of granules we find
box color
, which increments
the most rapidly - the first column represents the aqua box and the
second column represents the orange box.
12.6.2 STRUCTURING THE DATA ANALYSIS
From the main SPSS menu, select
Analyze
➜
General Linear Model
➜
Repeated Measures
. This will open the dialog window shown in Fig-
ure 12.4. As you will recall from Chapter 10, this is the initial window used
by SPSS to have you name the within-subjects variables in the study.
We will enter the variables in this
RepeatedMeasuresDefine Factor(s)
window in the order that we have incremented them in the data file. That
is, we will name the variable that increments most slowly, then the one
that increments next most slowly, and finally the one that increments
most rapidly. We therefore highlight the default name
factor1
and type
in
powcolor
and specify the
Number of Levels
for that variable as three.
Click
Add
to register this within-subjects variable with SPSS. The window
is now ready for the next repeated measure - the one that increments
next most slowly - to be named. Type in
granules
, specify that it has
two levels, and click
Add
. The last variable to be named is the one that
increments most rapidly. Type in
boxcolor
, specify that it has two levels,
and click
Add
one last time (see Figure 12.5). With all three within-subjects
variables named, click
Define
to reach the main
GLMRepeatedMeasures
window.
The
GLM Repeated Measures
main dialog window is shown in Fig-
ure 12.6. Note the number triplets in parentheses next to the lines with
