These parts are nice to have, but there's no need to rush out and buy them:
Serial cable
Using a serial cable, you can access the Galileo's Linux text-based com-
mand line environment from your computer. There are other ways to get
to this command line without the cable, so this will only be needed if you
run into trouble. See Appendix H for more information.
Case
A case isn't required, but it may help to make sure that your board is
protected from the hazards on a maker's workbench such as spilled
beverages. If you have access to a 3D printer, you can even print your
own ! Engrained Products was one of the first companies to sell cases
made specifically for Galileo.
PowerSwitch Tail II
This handy device will help you use the Galileo to control A/C appliances
