Connecting the power rails together sometimes makes things a
bit more convenient.
One thing that frequently trips people up: if you have a full-sized breadboard
like the one in
Figure B-3
, you'll need to connect the top half of the power
rails to the bottom half if you want the power to go all the way down to the
bottom.
