Google Maps is, of course, the most heavily used because you can look up
nearby stores, restaurants, and other businesses, but the application mostly
shows only pointers and markers on specific locations. Sometimes, you want
to know trends and patterns or just get a general sense of an area, like when
you look for a place to live. Trulia, a site that helps you search for real estate,
provides useful layers of information other than the properties for sale, as
shown in Figure 2-33.
