Geologists may get a buzz from the lacolithic mountain Sandfell (743m), above the fjord's
southern shore, which was formed by molten rhyolite bursting through older lava layers.
It's one of the world's finest examples of this sort of igneous mountain. It's a two- or three-
hour hike to the top.
