Among shiny nautical relics, this timber-framed restaurant-bar serves excellent food (juicy
burgers, spaghetti with shellfish, organic lamb), plus the pun-tastic dessert skyramisu . Live
music and a sweeping terrace make it one of the most happening places in northeast Ice-
land. Kitchen closes at 9pm.

Once home to Iceland's first cooperative, this historic building houses a popular restaurant
serving a wildly diverse menu: everything from smoked puffin to pizza, by way of lang-
oustine, burgers and salted cod. Also look out for its nearby summertime bistro and bar
(just down the hill) - a more-casual, publike affair.
