Choose from camping, a sleeping-bag bed (no electricity) or a small cottage that sleeps
five. There's also a geothermal pool and hot-pot.
Getting There & Away
BOAT
Take a ferry boat from from Ísafjörður, Bolungarvík or Norðurfjörður (on the Strandir
Coast) to Hornstrandir from June to August. One-way rides cost Ikr7200 to Ikr13,500, de-
pending on your destination. It is strongly advised to book your return boat ticket, for
safety reasons. You can book all boats direct, or through West Tours .
From Ísafjörður, West Tours runs Sjóferðir (West Tours; 456 5111; www.sjoferdir.is ) boats
to the following, among other destinations:
Aðalvík (Ikr8300, two weekly)
Grunnavík (Ikr7400, one weekly)
Hesteyri (Ikr7600, five weekly)
Hornvík (Ikr13,200, one weekly)
Hrafnfjörður (Ikr11,300, one weekly)
Veiðileysufjörður (Ikr9800, two weekly).
