This brand-new hotel opened in 2014 and offers simple, modern rooms (half of which
have views of Skógafoss) with top bathrooms. The bistro-bar (open 11am to 9.30pm June
to September) is one of the best eating and drinking spots in town, with plate glass win-
dows looking onto the falls and local beer on tap.

This architecturally interesting hotel has small, eclectic rooms with quirky antiques, some
with hill views. The upstairs 'deluxe' room has a king-size bed and waterfall views. A hot
tub and a sauna in the garden and an elegant restaurant (open noon to 3pm and 6pm to
10pm) round it all out.
Also has a nearby house for rent.
Fossbúð

Advertised as a restaurant, Fossbúð is really a convenience store and place for quick
snacks: soup, hamburgers, sandwiches, bagged chips and chocolate bars.
