In-Depth Information
Applying a text style with no type layer selected will automatically
create a new type layer and input some placeholder text in the style
of your choosing.

If you have not yet created the text layer then there is no
need to add it first before selecting the style. Just double-
click on the thumbnail style or drag the thumbnail to
your document. Either of these actions will automatically
create a new text layer in your document and input some
placeholder text, 'Your Text Here', with the style applied.
From this point on it is a simple matter to replace this
generic text with your own. Just double-click on the text
with the Move tool; Elements will then switch tools to the
Type tool and select all of the placeholder text. Now type
in the new text to complete the replacement. Alterna-
tively, you can click on the text and then choose Edit Text
from the Move tool's right-click menu.
