In-Depth Information
the workspace. You can commence the creation
process from the Organizer or Edit workspaces
by selecting the desired project from the ap-
propriate Task pane. The Share options are only
available in the Organizer workspace.
The Create and Share panes are the starting
point for the production of slide shows, greet-
ing and postcards, online galleries, photo topics
and collages and Video CD (VCD) presentations.
Whole albums, Project Bin photos, several
individually selected files from the Organizer or
images open in the Editor, can be used as a basis
for the projects.
The steps involved in creating the project are
clear and precise, with sophisticated and profes-
sional results being available in minutes rather
than hours, which would be the case if manual-
ly produced. For more details on creating photo
projects go to Chapter 5 for Create options and
Chapter 6 for Share projects.
The Create and Share
panes in the Organizer
and Editor workspaces
provide button-based ac-
cess to a range of organ-
izing, editing and sharing
options for selected
thumbnail images.
New and improved features for
Photoshop Elements 11
Version 11 sees a complete revamp of the interface for both the Organizer and
Editor workspaces. Even with these visual changes the development team has
been able to extend the power of existing features and add a few new ones. For in-
stance, folder view in the Organizer has been reworked so that we can now more
easily use folders as an alternative to albums as a way to group images. Here we
look at the key changes in brief but in later chapters we'll delve much deeper into
these features.
Online content -

plates available for downloading any time.
Supercharged folder view -

a pivot point for organising your images.
