The Expert editor interface
The program interface is the link between the user and the soft-
ware. Most graphics packages work with a system that includes a
series of menus, tools, palettes and dialog boxes. These devices give
the user access to the features of the program. The images them-
selves are contained in windows that can be sized and zoomed. In
this regard the Expert Edit space of Elements for both Macintosh
and Windows is no different. Version 11 carries on the same feel
that we have seen in the last couple of versions of the programme,
but the dark gray interface and colored Task Pane section has
given way to a lighter and more modern look to the whole pro-
gram. Now there is only a single task heading - Create. Clicking
this button will display a list of options in a drop-down menu
rather than a pane, as was the case in the previous version.
9.
Actions Bar - provides links to most used actions
for a given workspace
Options bar (not shown) - displays the options
for the currently selected tool
