In-Depth Information
all you need to do is follow the steps using the various brushes, controls and menu options
as you go. Once you get the hang of the featured tool's operation it is then an easy step to
move over to using the feature in the Full edit workspace.
GUIDED
The Guided Edit pane combines the instruction and explanation
components of a traditional Help system with the ready-to-hand
tool set usually found in the application's toolbar.
In this example, the new Photo Effects > Depth of Field entry in-
cludes both the instructions and the tools needed to complete
the technique.
GUIDED EDITING
New Guided Edit entries for
Photoshop Elements 11
Because of the tutorial nature of the entries in the Guided Edit pane, it pays
to look here first when wanting to learn new skills or extend the ones you
already have.
Photoshop Elements 11 contains four new entries in the panel - Vignette,
Tilt-Shift, High Key, and Low Key - providing you with extra creative op-
tions when it comes to processing your images.
Guided Edit Options
The entries in the Guided edit panel are arranged under three different
headings. Each heading contains several different techniques or step-by-step
effects.
Touch Ups: This heading contains options for cropping, rotating and
straightening, as well as sharpening of images. Using a step-by-step
approach these entries walk you through a series of changes designed to
enhance your photo.
You can fast-track your learning of new
Elements techniques, such as adding a Tilt-
Shift effect to a photo, by working your way
through the Guided Edit entries first before
attempting the technique by yourself.
