CFD software like Gambit in Fluent software should been used.
Some CFD simulations need to analysis the hydromechanics behavior in engineer-
ing and these works almost base on fluid model. CAD engineers can provide the
components to you and you should use the interactive simulation technology to build
the CFD analysis model very easy. It allows the CFD engineers haven't CAD drawing
skill too much and can reduce many works also.
Fig.2a is a CFD analysis model for hydraulic impactor has got from Gambit mod-
ule in fluent software based on figure.1a and a cylinder model through Boolean sub-
traction function. Fig.2b is the result of fluid velocity solved by fluent software. It is only an
example to illustrate this method and there are some other applications for engineering.

2.3 Build Model by User Definition Programs
There are so many examples that engineers have used to build model by user defini-
tion programs. Some CAD software like UG contain own Grip language or interface
to other language as C++, FORTRAN, Basic, C#, .net and so forth. And other soft-
ware also provides this function more or less.
There are some program-packages have always been integrated in these software
and use the user definition programs to achieve your ideas will very easy. Sometimes
build a complex model would only by little simple program sentences or commends.
This method suit the model that has a clear mathematics expression or could convert
by some commends. Universal software unable contains all features the user wants to
achieve, so this method is very important and wide used in engineering.
3 Pre-treatment & Post-processing
Pre-treatment & post-processing is the earliest and most mature form in interactive
simulation. The earliest universal FEM analysis software, Nastran (1966), is using
this method earliest. Because the Nastran software is only solver software and the
user should define the mesh or boundary conditions by pre-treatment software, and it
also should use the post-processing software to show the analysis result like cloud map.
The later FEM analysis software like Marc, Ansys, and Abaqus have become con-
tain the pre-treatment & post-processing module. Nowadays, there exist much excel-
lent pre-treatment & post-processing software, FEM analysis software, CFD analysis
software and other type in our society. Although most analysis software contain pre-
treatment & post-processing module themselves, the functions are less convenient
than the special pre-treatment & post-processing software. For example, if you want
to get structural hexahedral mesh for a complex model, it is more hard use the
