In-Depth Information
Figure 3 shows that there is no big difference in idle rate before and after combine,
that means it is available to combine processor 36 and processor 37 into a multi-
processor 36, so combine system elements weighing location, checking quality and
dispatcher into a multi-function working booth, where weighing, checking quality and
dispatching vehicle to unload in 4 warehouse by two people. Because the worker has
45.22% leisure time, the dispatching vehicles to fields also should be combined into
this working group. After simulation the working group idle and processing rate are
67.57% and 32.43%, so this optimization is reasonable. In the real world the
dispatcher needs to access to the information of harvesters in different fields timely to
make decision to dispatch vehicle to suitable farmer fields.

With the operation of system there maybe have other new contract farmers to join
and some farmers may withdraw from the production of rapeseed. So the number of
contract farmers should change yearly and the distance from the fields to company
should also changed yearly. Suppose the distance ranges varied in the case of the
number of farmers the same, Figure 4 shows the vehicles idle rate varying the average
distance from farm location to company.
