students selecting some law courses and those who don't select law courses but have
sound computer professional knowledge into one group. We are a law university, and
many students whose major is not law have learned some knowledge in law to some
extent, so it can be handled to arrange and assign personnel.
At the same time, in order to manage project group conveniently, a leader will be
designated in each group, who will take charge of developing project completely. And
each number will take part in development of all sub-tasks, but exert different
advantage and dominate different sub-task in the process of development. For
example, students who are good at judicature practice and master rich knowledge in
theory of laws can dominate the task in the stage of demand analysis; students who
don't know knowledge in laws but master knowledge in computer can dominate the
coding work. In this stage, we emphasis the difference in personnel structure to exert
and mobile the independence and enthusiasm of students fully.
3.2 Project Implementing
Like all of database course design, the management system of evidence collection is
divided into five key steps including demand analysis, concept structure design,
logical structure design, physical structure design, implementing and coding.
We implement demand analysis by investigating, because the management system
of evidence collection isn't a traditional project, and there isn't much information to
use for reference, so we lead our students to do this kind of projects in our own
practice base, and communicate with judicature expertise personnel to understand the
business flow. In the demand analysis, students are required to draw the data flow
charts, use case diagrams and other documents regularly according to knowledge in
software engineering. In the stage of concept structure design, students will design E-
R model on the basis of demand analysis with the modeling knowledge learned in the
database course; they will design the local model firstly, and then integrate the global
model after eliminating redundancy and different meanings. Students will realize the
transformation from E-R chart to relation model in the stage of logical structure
design, moreover, standardize the relation model and define the primary key, foreign
key and view. Students will chose index and cluster group in the stage of physical
structure design. They will implement, run and maintain database in the stage of
implementing and coding, such as programming and debugging of application system.
3.3 Project Evaluating (Evaluation Isomerism)
As mentioned above, the management system of evidence collection is a project of
distinctive project type which is difficult than projects of other types in aspects of
design and knowledge quantity, so when teachers evaluate it, the standards are
whether demand analysis is complete, whether it can describe a process of data query,
amending and increasing evidence collection, whether it can accomplish a judicature
practice completely, whether the database design accord standardization rules,
whether the design is reasonable. And the demands in the detail, integrity and
innovation of function model are simple. That means, we will provide different
evaluating standards for projects of different types.
