parameters being monitored. Otherwise, the Proxy uses SSH to access UNIX-like
systems and VEs, and then uses their native tools to collect current performance
data. The Proxy communicates directly with Microsoft's Windows Management
Instrumentation (WMI) to retrieve data from those systems. The EC gathers data
from the Proxies and stores it for later retrieval.
Figure 9.6 shows a few graphs of resource utilization for a VE.

Ops Center Usage Graphs
If keeping usage within a certain range is important, you can set thresholds
on variables being monitored. You can also configure Ops Center to send a noti-
fication if a threshold has been exceeded on any of the data being monitored. A
notification can be sent to the BUI, to an e-mail address, or to a pager. The data
can also be exported in CSV format.
Ops Center collects and displays the following data, in either tabular and
graphical formats:
CPU utilization, in percentage
