on both x86 and SPARC systems. A BUI wizard guides you through the process of
configuring the Container, include choosing a computer for it, assigning network
connections and file system access, and setting resource controls. Ops Center in-
stalls a VC in that computer's global zone.
Figure 9.5 shows the wizard that simplifies the process of creating a Container.

9.3.6 Updating Assets
Ops Center 2.5 can update firmware for Sun systems, whether they are based on
x86 or on SPARC CPUs. Updating the firmware on a CMT system also updates the
Logical Domains hypervisor firmware.
Ops Center also updates Oracle Solaris, popular Linux distributions, and
Microsoft Windows. Table 9.1 lists the specific versions that are supported. A soft-
ware agent deployed on each OS instance performs these updates.
In addition to replacing or patching live OS packages, the agent for Solaris 10
can discover and update the Alternate Boot Environment (ABE), which is the
basis of the Live Upgrade feature. The use of Live Upgrade significantly reduces
the service outage, if any, needed when patching the OS.
