patible enough to enable favorable interactions with cardiac and vascular
cells in vivo . As new cardiac therapies emerge in this regard, clinical
studies will have to demonstrate the true effi cacy of cardiac restoration in
alleviating the reliance on heart transplantation for treating end-stage
CVD.
