aligningthefibers,incorporatingsurfacetexturesandporogens,and
electrospinning around mandrels and molds, and, concurrently, to
improve the mesh properties (e.g., chemical, mechanical, biologic)
were described. In particular co-electrospinning and coaxial elec-
trospinning techniques can be used to achieve heterogeneities on
the nanometer-, micron-, and millimeter-length scales. Finally, this
chapter concluded with consideration of the mechanical properties
of electrospun meshes: how the mechanical properties of the indi-
vidual fibers might be measured, and how the bulk properties of
meshes might bepredicted usingcomputational models.
