Java Reference
In-Depth Information
Other preferences available on the View page include turning on and off alerts, scroll bars, and
tabbed document selectors or sheets. Other preferences available on the Printing page include setting
print margins and setting TextPad to print in color. For example, if you want your HTML host files to
print with line numbers or in color, click the plus sign next to Document Classes in the Preferences
list. Click the plus sign next to HTML and then click Printing in the Preferences list. Click the In color
and Line numbers check boxes and then click the OK button to set the preferences.
Setting Other Preferences
This text uses the default TextPad preferences for font, font size, color, and tabs. There may be
times, however, when users need to change these settings. For example, some users may want to display
code in a larger font size; others may want to set their own color coding. Sometimes, in a lab situation,
users may need to reset some of these features back to the default values. The following step demon-
strates how to set preferences for font, font size, color, and tabs.
To Set Other Preferences
1. With the Preferences dialog box displaying, if necessary, click the plus sign next to Document
Classes and then click the plus sign next to Java. Click Colors. Click the Set Defaults button to
return all color coding to its original settings. Click the Apply button.
The Colors page is displayed (Figure C-13). Clicking the Set Defaults button will restore all colors
back to their default settings to match this topic.
