If you need to uninstall the Java™ 2 SDK, you can use the Add or Remove Programs utility
in the Control Panel.
Installing the Java™ 2 SDK Standard Edition Documentation
The Java™ 2 SDK documentation is provided in HTML format and can be viewed with a Web
browser. The documentation can be obtained by downloading the required files from Sun
Microsystems at java.sun.com or from the CD-ROM that accompanies this text. The following steps
show how to install the SDK documentation from the CD-ROM to a location on your hard drive (C:).
If necessary, substitute the destination location with one specified by your instructor.
To Install the Java™ 2 SDK Standard Edition Documentation
1. If necessary, insert the CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive. When the Course Technology
dialog box is displayed, click Software. When the software files are displayed, click Sun Java™
SDK, SE Documentation.
The documentation is provided separately from the SDK software (Figure B-8). The documentation
is available for different versions of the SDK, so you should verify that you are using the correct
version of the documentation for your SDK installation.
