on a variety of platforms. At this time we would like a prototype.
Classics on DVD
Application title:
Algorithms:
Please create a user-friendly interface with the following:
Display:
Drop-down list with Title, Studio, and Year choices
Formatted output area
Menu
File menu with Exit command
Edit menu with Insert and Search commands
Search command should display submenu listings for Title,
Studio, and Year
Notes:
We have seen some programs with Java's Decorated Look and
Feel. It has a kind of multimedia “look” to it. Can you use that in
the prototype?
Also, many of our users like the shortcut keys on menus.
The Insert menu command should immediately sort the list after
adding the new DVD, to always present the DVDs in order.
Some of our members have many classic movies on DVD, so the
display area should scroll to display as many titles as necessary.
The display area should use all caps for column headings and bold
for the movie names.

PROBLEM ANALYSIS An Internet-based collectors group has requested a
prototype program to organize their classic movies. The problem that the
program should solve is the organization of classic movies on DVD by title,
corresponding studio, and year released. The program should allow the user to
insert new titles, search, sort, and display.
