Microsoft is putting SQL Server BI tools on top of Hadoop to make Big Data analysis work with
familiar, accessible Microsoft technologies. The following sections provide an overview of Big Data,
Hadoop, and Microsoft BI stack integration. You can use this information to see how to apply your
skills to this rapidly growing part of the industry.

Setting up in Windows Azure
The following steps are outlined in Getting Started with Windows Azure HDInsight Service ( http://
www.windowsazure.com/en-us/manage/services/hdinsight/get-started-hdinsight/ ) . To set up Windows
Azure perform the following procedure:

Subscribe to Windows Azure and enable the HDInsight Service.
