Right-click ContentPackInstaller.exe and then, on the shortcut menu that appears, click Run As
Administrator.

If this is the first time the installer has run, you might see a First Time Configuration dialog
box. If so, accept all default values.
Install the Self Service BI Demo Content Pack.

7. Click the Add A Content Pack tab and then click Browse.
Locate the SelfServiceBIDemo2.0.zip on your desktop, select it, and then click Open.

Click Add. (this can take about 10 minutes)

10. After the installer finishes extracting the files, click Install.
11. Click OK to accept the default path.
The installation process can take 15 to 30 minutes, and you will not see any feedback indicators
other than a flowing progress bar to show that work is being done. For advanced users, there is a log
file named Install-http_intranet_contoso_com-<Date/Time>.log that is updated with live feedback as
the installation progresses; it is located at C:\Content Packs\Packs\Self-Service BI Demo 2.0.
Post installations/known issues
To configure SQL 2012 RS, run the following three Windows PowerShell Commands:

To Configure SQL 2012 SP1 PowerPivot with SharePoint 2013, perform the following procedure:
1. On the Start menu, click All Programs and then click Microsoft SQL Server 2012. Click Configu-
ration Tools and then click PowerPivot For SharePoint 2013 Configuration.
This tool is listed only when PowerPivot for SharePoint is installed on the local server.
2. Click Configure Or Repair PowerPivot For SharePoint and then click OK.
The tool runs validation to verify the current state of PowerPivot and what steps are required
to complete configuration. Expand the window to full size. You should see a button bar at the
bottom of the window that includes Validate, Run, and Exit commands.
