The SQL Server 2012 SP1 Content Pack installation instructions assume that the base VM has been
modified accordingly with the previously listed prerequisites.
Prerequisites
The prerequisites for this installation are as follows:
The prerequisites for step 1 are completed.
The Application Active Directory Demo Build 2.1 described in step 1 has been installed.
You have a licensed or evaluation version of SQL 2012 SP1 from Microsoft ( http://technet.
microsoft.com/en-us/evalcenter/hh225126.aspx ).
The SQL Server 2012 SP1 ISO should be mounted as drive D.
Note If you mount onto another hard disk, be sure to change the Install.ps1 script located
at C:\Content Packs\Packs\Demo Builds SQL Server 2012 SP! Configuration 2.0.0.
This installable package is built on the configuration.ini approach of scripting SQL Server instal-
lations. It is assumed that you have already successfully installed Windows Server 2012 and run the
Application Active Directory Demo Build 2.1.
Note You might want to use the scripts to install SQL Server 2012 SP1 for a develop-
ment environment, in which case you will edit the .ini file located in the folder where
the ContentPackInstaller places the scripts folder. Typically, the .ini files are placed at
C:\Content Packs\Packs\Demo Builds SQL Server 2012 SP1 Configuration 2.0.0\Demo\
Scripts. You will likely only change the domain name and service accounts that you use for
other installations.
