To run List Running Service Applications with Windows PowerShell, perform the following
procedure:
On the Start menu, click All Programs.

Click the Microsoft SharePoint 2013 Products folder.

Click SharePoint 2013 Management Shell.

From the Windows PowerShell command prompt (that is, PS C:\>), type the following com-
mand and then press Enter:

Manage and maintain PerformancePoint Services
The features that you can manage in a service application for PerformancePoint include the following:
Use the PerformancePoint Applications Settings to manage configurations that affect perfor-
mance, security, and data connection refreshes.
Note This is where you configure the Unattended Service Account credentials, which is
essential for connecting to external data sources.
Use Trusted Data Source Locations to restrict access to data sources from PerformancePoint
dashboards. You'll see how to configure these in the next section.
