Use the Workspace Browser to view, open, and save dashboard items and to deploy a dash-
board to SharePoint. The Workspace Browser includes two categories: Data Connections and
PerformancePoint Content. When you click an item in either category, that item's content
appears in the center pane. For example, if you click Data Connections in the Workspace
Browser, you see data connection details in the center pane. The ribbon's Edit and Create tabs
as well as the Details pane change dynamically to reflect the item selected in the Workspace
Browser (Figure 8-3).

You use the center pane to view and edit data connections and dashboard content. Depend-
ing on where the focus is in the Workspace Browser, different tabs are available for the center
pane. For example, if you select a Pie Chart, three tabs appear: Design, Query, and Properties.
You can also preview dashboard items in the center pane. You might also see the Workspace
File appear, which is a PerformancePoint 2010 feature that helps you to locate files saved to
your desktop.
