SkyDrive You can save a Power View workbook to a SkyDrive folder to share it with oth-
ers. However, anyone accessing from that location must open it in Excel because it cannot be
viewed online.
Local computer You can save a workbook containing Power View views to your local
computer (or even a network file share) when you are creating workbooks for personal use or
when you have no SharePoint environment available for sharing with a group.
Summary
In this chapter, we reviewed the history of Power View and described the new features that make an
already great tool for data exploration even better. We also introduced you to the variety of data
visualizations available in Power View by showing you how easy it is to set up a new visualization from
scratch or converting an existing visualization to an alternate structure. Along the way, we showed
you how to work with visualization size and location, how to add interactivity with hierarchies and
animated scatter charts, and how to apply various filtering techniques. By now, you should have a
better appreciation for how it fits into your BI strategy. Although Power View has many benefits for
ad hoc reporting and analysis, there are other tools better suited for other types of tasks that learn
about in subsequent chapters.
