make up the sides and after drilling two pilot holes at each end with the 1/8 th bit, attach
the posts using the cordless screwdriver and screws as per diagram 2. When this is done
present the two longer sections to the frame and fix according to the diagram below.
By using this method of construction you are making up for the thickness of the timbers
and are left with a square with the inside measurement of 4 foot by 4 foot exactly, if con-
structed with 1.5 inch timbers.
This frame should then be placed into position and each corner post gently tapped down
intothegroundwiththeClubhammer aninchortwoatatime foreachpost,untilthesides
sit on the ground surface.
Alternatively the frame can be assembled piece at a time in-situ, though I usually find this
a bit more awkward.
With your frame in position, it is a simple matter to measure out your frame into square
foot boxes as per diagram 1, and either fix in place your strapping material, or knock a nail
into the wood at the proper points and twist garden twine to form the boxes.
