land you'll find many of Sweden's craft traditions, and glassmaking has been here for well
over 100 years. The cluster of glass-blowing factories - among them well-known brands
Orrefors and Kosta Boda - has consolidated over time. A high point of glass design was in
the 1960s, when traditional figurative forms were met with abstracted patterning as young
designers were given the chance to compete with more established figures.
