Arvidsjaur really comes into its own in winter. On the high-octane side of things, snowmo-
biles whiz along the 600km or so of snowmobile tracks around the town, teams of
huskies carry passengers through the snow and driving enthusiasts grapple with the
steering wheels of BMWs, Audis and Porsches on special ice tracks marked on frozen
