This hostel offers beds year-round in the small converted cells of an old prison. It's in a
handy location, between the ferry dock and the harbour restaurants, and there's an inviting
terrace bar in summer. Reception is open from 9am to 2pm, so call ahead if you are arriv-
ing outside these times.
Take a look at the historic poster listing the crimes you could be imprisoned for in
Sweden during the mid-19th century: 'Noise, illegal bathing and being dressed as an Easter
witch…'!

Located at the southeastern corner of the botanical garden, this family-run hotel is just a
stone's throw away from the vine-covered ruins of the ghostly St Clemens kyrka. It takes

- on Sankt Hansgatan and Hästgatan. Rooms are simple, decorated in white and grey, and
