This charming STF hostel claims to be Sweden's oldest (it dates from 1934). It's based in
a flowery old wooden house 3km southeast of Färjestaden. The Färjestaden-Mörbylånga
bus 103 (Skr30) runs past at least five times daily.

Take a sidestep to this heartwarming cafe, which dates from the 1920s and oozes old-fash-
ioned charm with its dazzling white stripped-back tearooms and expansive garden with
well-weathered sculptures and randomly placed tables and chairs. Savoury snacks, tradi-
tional sweets, locally produced deli items and superb coffee are on offer.
Outhouses have been resurrected into small stores selling clothes and tasteful home-
wares, plus there's a playhouse for children.
