Eksjö

Eskjö is one of the most exquisitely preserved wooden towns in Sweden. The area south of
Stora Torget was razed to the ground in a blaze in 1856, paving the way for beautiful neo-
classical buildings. To the north of the square, buildings date back to the 17th century.
Both sides will have you swooning over the jumble of candy-coloured houses and flower-
filled courtyards.
